By Enabling technologies we refer to fundamental technical components, which form the basis for the development of innovative systems and services. These technical solutions are generic and useful in a multitude of applications throughout the realisation of the digital society.

By User driven research we refer to projects where technology is used to solve specific problems or to enable specific functions with a defined use case. Our focus lies on embedding ICT solutions to enable novel ways of operating functions and processes in industry and the public sector. The outset is a defined problem within a business or organisation which can be improved or even made possible with the help of new technical solutions.
