Sten Minör is currently Innovation Director at MAPCI, Mobile and Pervasive Computing Institute at Lund University. He has a background as CEO for Sigrun – Software Innovation and Engineering Institute AB, a company fully owned by Lund University, where he has been working with bringing research results from academy to industry and society in common projects. Sten Minör has an MSC in Electrical engineering and a PhD in Computer Science from Lund University. He has an academic background in research and teaching at Lund University and Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Industrial experience comes from working at a consultancy company in the Ideon Research Village in Lund, from different technical and management positions at Ericsson and Sony Ericsson. During his time in industry he has been in close contact with research at Lund University and the Faculty of Engineering as a member of the board of directors of LUCAS – Lund University Center for Applied Software research and as chairman of the board of directors for the Vinnova Excellence center EASE – Embedded Application Software Engineering.
