Open lecture: Smart Objects for Intelligent Building Management

Stelios Pournaras of Coverge ICT, Greece, will visit MAPCI in Lund on Monday the 30th of March 2015. He will give a brief presentation about the SOrBet project. His presentation is titled: "SOrBet - Smart Objects for Intelligent Building Management, Application scenarios and exploitation in industry".

SOrBet is a 48 month Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) project which started in January 2014, and is funded by the European Union in FP7.

SOrBet aims towards highly distributed, self-organizing, self-managing, wirelessly communicating Smart-Objects, enabling the robust management of energy efficient Smart Buildings. In doing so, drawbacks of current systems will be used as starting points in developing a framework based on the concept of “reliability by design”. Drawing lessons from the Internet of Things (IoT) will work towards realizing the concept of “reliability” in intelligent buildings.

Welcome to join this open lecture!
