Dr. Mehmet Karaca has joined the MAPCI team as a post doctoral fellow for two years.
Dr. Karaca’s expertise is in wireless networks and performance. He will be working in the MMAC project on novel efficient MAC protocol solutions for future generations of unlicensed wireless networks such as IEEE 802.11.
Dr. Karaca earned his BE. from Istanbul University of Technology in 2006 and his PhD from Sabanci University, Turkey in 2013. He has worked in industry at several companies such as AirTies and Deutche Telecom. He has also been a visiting researcher at Ohio State University. Dr. Karaca has been awarder the best paper price at SPECTS2001 and is the Technical Program Co-Chair of IEEE NOMS 2016 to be held in Turkey.
